You Forgot to Say Goodbye (T)

#1

There are 3 rules to using a ouija board. First, you must Never play alone. Nor shall you play within a graveyard. Lastly. You must always say, "Goodbye."

Easy to remember when you're a child at a sleepover listening wide-eyed as your best friend's older sibling explains the rules with undeserved gravity. It is, after all, a cheap piece of cardboard and an overgrown pizza table with a mean reputation. However, now that you're grown,  that last rule  has slipped your mind entirely at the Function, and you've all gone to bed without saying, "goodbye."

Abandoned downstairs, the planchet moves on its own, unattended. Slowly, at first, it scrapes its plastic legs across the board to the f. Then the u. The c. The k. Finally, to the m and e before returning to the F to begin anew. Each time, it moves faster and faster until it is just a blur.

As luck would have it, you woke up thirsty in the middle of the night.  As you are passing through the living room to get to the kitchen for a sippy - after which you'll contemplate a thirst of a different kind.  You almost don't notice the strange events occurring. Fortunately, the events have noticed you.

The planchet flies past your face and embeds itself in the wall. For the briefest moment, you saw through the lens in it's center and locked eyes with something big, red, and horny.

What do, adventurer?

Sera blinks slowly, still drowsy and half-asleep, taking another sip as she leans over and looks through the lens upon the demonic hellbeast huffing in front of her.

"Ah," she nods in understanding, sipping at her cup of water yet again and smacking her lips. "Shit."

She looks at her cup a moment before glancing back up in the creature's general direction and holding it in the air. "Should I get you one?"

It responds with only a low growl, deep enough to be felt, a rumble resonating through Sera's bones.

"Yeah, yeah, calm down there, hellfire. I know what you want." She reaches into the cupboard for another glass and begins filling it at the sink. "I also know it's important to keep hydrated, and the general belief is that's hard to do where you come from." She sets the glass on the counter towards the demon. "I mean, that may be jumping to conclusions, but if we're doing this I don't want you drying up on me. I hope that's mutual?" Another sip.

Another rumbling growl, a conflicted sort of sound torn between thoughtful and impatient, resonates through the kitchen as Sera starts undoing the belt holding together the robe she'd slipped on.

"Anyway, I can run to the other room and try and look up a sigil that'd make you visible if you want. Or, you know" - she smiles up coyly through her mussy mid-night hair as her robe slips to the floor, revealing her body to the creature - "you can just stay the way you are and surprise me. That might be fun."

Mark jumps back in shock as the planchet flies past him to the wall, in his shock he doesn't register seeing what was shown to him through the lens, but as he takes a moment he reorients himself.

"Y-your the one who I was talking to, right? I'm sorry if I did anything to offend you, I really am... Hey, this might seem a bit weird, but since your here and all, would you... like to be my girlfriend?" He asks while placing his cup in the sink.

"I enjoyed our time talking earlier, and when I got a look of you through that planchet, you looked pretty good honestly."

Mark walks forward slowly, an uncertainty in his gut, but he presses on. "So what do you say? Offer's on the table, just like the board, or the bed, up to you." he stands in the middle of the living room, arms open in invitation.

The cup rises from the counter and is drained in one go by the invisible demon before Sera is swept off her feet and carried into the living room. The demon is surprisingly gentle in depositing their new friend on the couch. They start off strong, using their tongue to great effect, but the urgency and slight clumsiness with which they get down to business by sitting on Sera's face betrays their inexperience with the carnal sins.

Sera has a fun time turning the tables on this lovely creature from the netherworld. Not being able to see them is awkward at first but transforms into a fun challenge as the night progresses.

With time, a break is warranted and the ottercat is once again thirsty. When she returns from the kitchen - 2 cups in hand - the room feels different. The demon is gone, it seems, but not forgotten. Also, they left a note! It's in a completely alien alphabet,  so Sera has no idea what it says, but the last line has three characters, a dash, and then another 4 characters,  so she probably got the demon's number? Congrats! Hopefully she understands that Sera can't read demon nor does she know how to call Hell.

The room is filled with a grunt of confusion. "G̵̗̼͚̩͑̕ȋ̷̠̰̑r̸̮̩̺͇͚͒l̷̢̤͔̦̖͐̀̃̚f̸̧͍̂r̸͍͖͖͓̺͆̃̓͊͠i̴͍̝̟͈̜͆̚ę̵̺̪̄̑̈́̕͠ͅn̵̘̑d̸̠̱̻̑?̸̮̼̜̝͊̋̐" Before Mark can confirm, he feels something clamp down on his hand and pull him toward the basement. He digs his heels in as he realizes he's about to be thrown down the stairs, catching the doorframe with his free hand. His resistances prove futile a d he screws his eyes shut as he is pulled across the threshold into-

"Huh?" He's fine? Hot. But fine? He opens his eyes and the first thing he sees is a giant red hand enveloping his own. It is attached to the demon from before who, up close, is smoking hot, if a bit intimidating.

"I̴̧̻̟̮͑̋'̵̮́̚v̵̙̖̗̳͒̒̆͜e̴̱͒͑͜ ̷̣̣̪͈̦̂n̶̨͙͖͚͙̔͒́̄͌e̵̡͙͗̄̍͑̒v̶̫̯̬͎̐̋͛͜͝͝ḛ̷̏̈̅͋̕r̶̳̪͔̮̟͛ ̴̪̥̩̋ḥ̸̇̽̂a̵̝̯͂́́d̸̼̅̾̑̎ ̵̗̖̣̂́͛͐a̷̮̼͓͓̅̀̒̚͜͝ ̵̱̾̈́͐b̴̹̄͜ȍ̶̢̱͔̲̍͒͝ỳ̴̮͓̂͑̊͝f̶̪̭͍͈̕ŕ̸̝̣͌̅͂̕ǐ̶̢̖̮̮̔̓̇̍ͅe̶̡̥̩̗͌͗̒̽n̸̼̭̪̼͙͋͂d̷̤̋͐̊̀̅!̵͎͎̹̇̀̄͝ͅͅ" she says, holding her face bashfully.. It's impossible to tell by looking at her, but she's blushing furiously.

Before Mark can get a word out or even learn her name, he is taken on a whirlwind tour of hell, which is somehow a suburb within a dying mall , and introduced to all of her friends and her parents. She then takes him up to her room where he finally get the chance to ask her name - Mykaeleighae - and makes out with him and shows him her favorite anime - a demoness who is unpopular with the boys meets Truck-kun and is reincarnated on Earth as the unassuming new girl at her school with all her memories and demon powers.

Things do eventually heat up from there and for a minute Mark almost forgets the strange circumstances of his arrival as he finds himself buried face first in her weighty bosom, but the fact remains that not only is he not sure how things turned out this way, but he doesn't know how to get home.

Sounds like Sera's gaining more and more reasons to learn demonic these days.

Time to study, I guess.
