Poking around at the admin panel of my instance, I guess this is listed under Admin CP -> Configuration -> Show Thread Options -> Post Layout for the default setting when a new user registers (or a guest views the board).

But this can be changed per user in User CP -> Edit Options -> Thread View Options -> Display posts in classic mode.

Horizontal post layout has the user information above the post, while classic mode has the user info to the left of the post. IMO having it to the left looks better, so I've changed it for myself

Oh, another random suggestion: Admin CP -> Configuration -> Show Thread Options -> Maximum Avatar Dimensions in Posts changes how small avatars are scaled in posts. I think its like 50x50 or something by default and its just generally small as shit. I did like 150x150 and they look nice and big now. Would be much nicer.

I believe I expanded avatars to something like 100x100

Also yours is 404ing at the moment so that's... interesting.

EDIT: it was 60x60 actually and tbh that is still small as hell so I will now do 100x100

The forum setting chooses the default setting for users, so once you've made your account you have to go to user settings to change it for yourself. It threw me for a loop at first too before I thought to check the User CP. I changed it for myself in the User CP, everyone else signed up so far will have to go change it for themselves. (Check OP for instructions)

100 is just a tad small IMO but much better lol. I wouldn't complain more about it if you left it as is.

Honestly the fact that like half the changes I can make only apply to new accounts is sort of frustrating to me, but okay.

100 worked for horizontal layout without causing a bunch of spacing problems. If everything's to the side by default maybe bigger is fine. If it's going to make it different for everybody then I wish it would let me set a different max size for both, honestly.

Yeah, can't help much that people can pick what they prefer, but I don't think many people will go out of their way to have it above (but we can only hope Kaz and Lys go change their layouts to on the side )

But, now that you point it out, thats probably why it was so small in the first place, because they are putting the thing above in the first place. Honestly IDK why, we god the wide monitors now, with way more resolution than ever before, might as well make smart use of horizontal space instead of making people scroll too much lol.

It didn't like the file for some reason, something about "too big". Resized from 900x900 to 500x500 and it was fine, even though it worked before. IDK, but hey, I got it up now and my avatar is nice and big like yours lol.

P.P.S I do not know how to search patreon posts via two tags, I think in theory "https://www.patreon.com/ketirz/posts?filters[tag]=witches%27%20thralls&filters[tag]=comic%20pages" should work but it doesn't. If anyone knows please share this knowledge with me.

Yeah, it was originally much too specific and I just kinda repurposed it. Maybe I should change the thread title to be more clear.

Also, I'd like to suggest removing the "friendly redirects" because I just want to be sent straight to the thread Admin CP -> Configuration -> General Configuration -> Friendly Redirection Pages (2nd to last option).

My third one isn't really a forum suggestion as a content suggestion, so if that doesn't fit / opening up an avenue for content suggestion may be a bad thing which I didn't realize until now, that can be moved or deleted.

Well, these are more humble requests:

• A thread where you post a copy of the artwork you post on Twitter. Twitter is hard to navigate and the discord often scrolls quickly.
  
• This one is a lot more of a request than anything else: A sub section or whatever it is called (like you have General and Lonely Hooves) for Patreons where you could post a copy of the artwork you post on Patreon as Patreon is hard to navigate. This is dependent on it being able to be shown / hidden in some way (which I believe user groups are there but I do not know how secure those are.

Patron Forums

Patreon's API has been available more than long enough for me to believe there's multiple plugins out there to support an automated integration, but I'd need to go looking at my options.

Dark Theme

The desire to skin this thing over better is a big part of why I haven't been louder about it tbh. I've looked at a couple options but have hesitated to commit to anything, partly because I don't know how much work will be involved adapting each theme to any tweaks I employ, and partly because when I last looked I did not know the name above / to the side of the post was an option we could all just change so I was specifically looking for one that popped 'em off to the side. Oops! It's on me list.

Change the favicon of the forums so they are more easily distinguishable from other tabs.

I need to do this for both Ketirz and Lonely Hooves just as a whole, but the two formats the webhost has defaults up for are gif and ico, both of which are... kind of a pain for me??? Clip is lacking in this department, though I wonder if Aesprite couldn't do it......

We need a thinking emoji. The forum straight-up eats default emoji.

Make more of the Witches' Thralls / Twitter images available

Image hosting on here is very odd to such a degree that the one I posted of Ed and DD was just a URL copied from the tweet it's in. I think you can use attachments for this sort of, but there does not seem to be a default way to upload & embed an image in-post, which while I understand from a webhosting perspective also feels remarkably outdated. Also, Dreamhost claims this storage is unlimited, so like... there's that. There might be a plugin for this too?
