This is somewhat based on my own ability to stop feeling like lethargic dogshit, but apps are open regardless. You know the drill. I will likely accept the usual two to three, and there's a couple subs in there already I need to look over, but as ever this is set up so I can pick the most invigorating of the bunch for the stream lot.

I am heavily considering a format change for these of some sort but am slightly undecided on the details. I feel like I'm invoking a kind of choice paralysis with how many gals there are and wonder if it would be better if we took up a rotating roster or followed some sort of weekly theme / setting to narrow the decisions down a bit and maybe inspire ideas in the clientele. I am very open to input on this.

I also still do not have the on-screen branding reinstated, but that's because it was a lot of work in the first place for something that never got out of a heavy alpha state, and I would like to consider something more sustainable. The pixel art is nice but I just do not have time nor patience to make a million little animations for everybody in such a meticulous manner right now.

Sometime next week (around May 6th, I think it said) Dreamhost is going to be pushing servers to PHP 8. I am not sure why they are doing this (PHP8 is presently an option as-is but is considered opt-in) or if I will be allowed to change my server's version back.

Given warnings on MyBB's website, it is safe to say this may very well disrupt or even shut down forum service until MyBB itself updates to comply with PHP8's changes. I am... unsure how to update MyBB if MyBB is not working, but I'll try and figure it out if it comes to that.

Hopefully I can just revert or opt out somehow, but, y'know, if not, here's your warning.

I finally found a theme that ins't obnoxiously bright and hard on the eyes, actually works, and kinda looks good. The name of the theme is called "igame". The image in the background can be changed very easily, and the "Go Social" and "About Us" sections in the footer can be edited too.


To install, just copy the "igame" folder from the zip download into the forum "images" folder. Then just import the xml file in the ACP (Admin CP) theme importer.

Tweaks:

• "2.jpg" inside the "igame" folder is the background. You can simply replace that with whatever. Its a blurred out Assassins Creed wallpaper by default. I replaced it with an MLP screenshot for testing.
  
• The "shadow" box is white normally, but it looks better with black, since white text sits directly on it in the board and thread views. ACP -> Templates & Styles -> Themes -> igame23 -> global.css -> on line 63 (Ctrl + F "contents"), change to "background: rgba(0,0,0,0.6);" to match the above screenshot.
  
• To edit the "Go Social" and "About Us" boxes: ACP -> Templates & Styles -> Templates (left side) -> igame23 Templates -> Footer Templates -> footer. "Go Social" can be edited from lines 35 to 46, and "About Us" from 94 to 107. They are in plain HTML, so it should be simple enough to do something nice with them.

UI freakin out 2.

Water starts buggin out. chunks of the world look like they unloadin. Texture errors and glitch shit everywhere, more by the second. Horrible noise, swear somethin talkin but can't make it out. Like old-school text 2 speech soft. Hurtin my ears by the end, everything just noise. Whole thing crashes. PC needs hard reset 2 recover. Fuckin wild.

Headgear released on its own, bw. Kept makin the noise until PC power cut. Running full scan now, but initial vscan turned up nothin new. Dont think it gave me an ITD. Thank fuck.

Was shakin all night tho. Couldn't stop. Fine now. Just freaked me out I think.

I've added a general KA forum for all KA-related discussion! Stream stuff, sketch comms, schedule, KASK, all go in here for now!

This presently includes any discussion of Dream Sphere! After a brief chat with Swot it does seem ideal to make the DS section somewhere only I can post to keep the entries archived in order and uninterrupted. If there's an overwhelming amount of DS threads or the like I will consider moving them to a child forum, but at present I do not particularly expect those to be too numerous off the back of two entries and a pretty low reader count. We'll see how it evolves!

I may have some fun ways you can interact more with DS in the future, but we'll get into that once there's a bit more established!
