Hi everyone! I know things are just getting started in here, but I am slowly working to make things more habitable. I've made the following tweaks over the last few days:

• [NSFW] prefix added for all users. Please use this for applicable threads going forward!
  (Valid exception: If the entire subforum is flagged as NSFW, it is safe to assume everything in there is NSFW! I maybe don't need the prefix?? I have mixed feelings. Open to input.)
  

• Finally wrote a first draft of the rules, hope that works.
  
• Merged the Hare Moon subcategory with Pony After Dark. I just... don't think it's worth the distinction, presently.

   These forums are not separated by age gates and my work appeals heavily to some real freaky sorts. Things probably gonna get nasty in here from time to time. If you're a sweet innocent little bean, go check out our Discord instead, where there are channels more appropriate for you. Anyone found to be lying about their age will be banned without warning. I am not fucking around here. My understanding of US law is that if I don't do otherwise I could go to jail as some sort of wild sex offender, so like... we ain't playing with that. Stay out, kids!
   
2. Hate Speech will not be tolerated. Treat others with due respect.
   Slurs, harmful misinformation, and other such forms of "expression" shall not be tolerated. And we mean real slurs, not things assholes call slurs specifically to try and compare the hate they get for their shit ideologies to real problems people have to deal with for shit they can't control. No TERFs, is what I'm saying. Fuck TERFs. This is a house of love and we ain't gonna tolerate weirdos who just want to drag everyone else down. There is a word filter and I can, in fact, make it replace what you're saying with basically anything. The words I put in your mouth will not please you. There is also a reputation system in place, and you best bet that if I see someone waltzing around with some wild negative number I'll be looking into that.
   
3. Please post under the appropriate categories.
   Sometimes we'll have to move a thread or something. We have the power! But please do not make it a full time job to keep on top of that. Willful misbehavior will be punished with warnings and bans.
   
4. Do not derail discussions.
   Just make a new thread. We can have pretty much infinite threads! it even makes the place look livelier.
   
5. No surprise lewds!
   This is the Ketirz forum. I'd like to think we're all pretty sex positive, but part of that is respecting consent. If you slap up some misleading thread title like "Cute Twilight Sparkle Drawing! <3" and it opens up into a photo of some gaping asshole, I will consider that a breach of consent. By Karnan law I think that means I get to murder you, but in this case the thread will be deleted and you will be banned. There is a [NSFW] thread prefix available to all users! Please use this to mark particularly saucy threads!

Going to keep a general log of website updates here slash create this space specifically in which one can harp on me for neglecting it for too long because there's really no reason this should have been in unpublicized beta for over a year.

Today's update:

• Attempted adding "versioning" to the javascript lookup in the index and comicpage script lookups to force browsers to ignore cache on what the latest page is. This would not be necessary if I learned how to use JQuery, from what I understand?? Maybe?? I genuinely don't know, so I'm cheating for now.
  
• Got pages and commentary set up for entries #72-86, getting a good dent into Chapter 2. Focused on my own commentary for now and am trying to keep most of it pretty quick. If Kaz wants to add something down the line I can do so pretty easily, but she seemed a bit burnt on the whole thing and understandably it does drag out this process a fair bit.
  

Poking around at the admin panel of my instance, I guess this is listed under Admin CP -> Configuration -> Show Thread Options -> Post Layout for the default setting when a new user registers (or a guest views the board).

But this can be changed per user in User CP -> Edit Options -> Thread View Options -> Display posts in classic mode.

Horizontal post layout has the user information above the post, while classic mode has the user info to the left of the post. IMO having it to the left looks better, so I've changed it for myself

My goal is to move the weekly / biweekly prompts from the Discord primarily onto the boards.

I think this will better support the format they've taken to. Prompts and submissions can have their own posts, a master list would be pretty easy to maintain if we wanted to build off of Swot's initial idea there, and we've even got attachment functionality for written work and the like (though I have not yet caught what the default per-user storage allowances are, so that may be of note).

I'm not sure if we would keep the Discord channels as a plan B of sorts or simply archive them.  I suppose it would depend on adoption rate.

Also, it turns out you can't use standard emoji in here. Good to know!

I have begun poking the CSS with a stick to reduce the raw amount of eye strain I at least am suffering in here. Also, I found where to put the logo. Huzzah!

Font sizes are the big one for me atm honestly, I find the default very hard to read I guess So I'm in a state of perpetual hella zoom here >_>;;
